A Visit to Hawaii

Lance and I just spent a fabulous week in Hawaii. It was a total dream of a holiday. It was an all expenses paid trip from Stampin' Up! I am a demonstrator and earned the annual incentive trip. The whole week reminded me of 'Paradise'. I have not visited such a beautiful place in all of my life.

The whole week I thought of Dad. I always think of him but whenever I am near water it triggers memories. Dad loved the water. Whenever there was the opportunity Dad would be in the water.

He never got to see or swim in the Pacific Ocean. I wish I could have made that happen but I do know he is happy where he is. I totally understand he is closer now than the 5,000 miles which seperated us whilst he was on the earth.

How thankful I am for the knowledge of life after death :)

Hi Maxine,

Is "Stamping up" a Scrapbook thing? Gina is very much into Scrapbooking, and does some fantastic stuff. She just made Hannah a scrapbook of her life, which is about six inches thick.

Please pass on my best to Lance. I'm glad you had such a great time in Hawaii. You both deserved a good break. You mentioned the Pacific Ocean. I love the West Coast of the US. La Jolla (La Hoya) is my favourite, as I can swim in the waves and body surf all day long there. The waves are great, and the water is warm. Just a few short miles away, and the water is cold. (Mission Beach and Coronado Island are so cold in the water, it's like swimming in the North Sea. It is also like the American Supreme court.) (No appeal.) The added attraction of La Jolla is that it is right by the San Diego Temple.

Have a better day. (2 Nephi 31:18-21.)

Warm regards,

Alan.
